Ensure a Restful Night's Sleep

At Shutter Designs Co, we understand that home is where the heart is, and there’s something uniquely special about our bedrooms. They serve as personal sanctuaries where we can unwind at the end of a long day. Our shutter blinds are the perfect window treatments to ensure a restful night’s sleep while enhancing the beauty of your bedroom. Each shutter is custom-designed and manufactured to fit your windows perfectly and complement your style and décor.

Control the Light in Your Bedroom

With a simple slat tilt, you can control the amount of light entering your room. Open the slats to welcome morning sunlight or swing open the panels for a full sun bath. Full height shutters and tier-on-tier shutters offer total window coverage and, consequently, complete light control. Unlike curtains or blinds, our shutters allow you to manage light levels precisely. Consider slat size carefully; smaller slats mean more light-filtering opportunities.

Do Blackout Shutters Exist?

Simply put, no. Claims of 100% blackout with shutters alone are not true. The small gap needed for louver movement prevents total blackout. However, we offer the option to discreetly install a blackout roller blind behind the shutter panels within the frame. This can be lowered at night to prevent light from entering during early morning hours. Some customers opt to retain curtains with blackout lining alongside our interior shutters, especially when café shutters (covering only the lower half of the window) are used for privacy.

Why Choose Shutters from Shutter Designs Co. for Your Bedroom?

While their stunning appearance may initially attract you to our bedroom window shutters, they offer much more. Privacy is a top concern for many, and our interior shutters provide an excellent solution. You can tilt the slats to maintain privacy without sacrificing natural light, making them ideal for bedrooms—letting light in while keeping prying eyes out.

Concerned about achieving complete darkness? Our plantation shutters are effective at darkening rooms, though they do not provide a complete blackout effect. The necessary small gaps between slats allow for smooth tilting, which means a bit of light may seep through when the slats are closed.
